In the past year alone, a staggering 47% of students at post-secondary institutions encountered or witnessed discrimination based on gender, gender identity, or sexual orientation, and one in ten women experienced sexual assault.
Universities and colleges have long been acknowledged as critical grounds for gender-based violence prevention. They are spaces where people of all genders come together to work, play, and learn—from the classroom to the sports field—and as such, they offer opportunities to drive change.
So, how can we leverage our positions as leaders in post-secondary settings to create positive and lasting change? How can we work with men to progress gender justice in our educational institutions?
