Join us for our FIRST Meet Up event at Movember House (588 Richmond St W, Toronto) on February 25th at 1:00 pm ET.
Meet Ups are casual, conversation-based events. You'll get to hear a little bit about what Next Gen Men is (and what we're up to!), but the bulk of the time is dedicated to small group discussions about the topics that matter to us! We get the ball rolling using discussion prompts, and the conversations build from there.
Examples of questions we dive into include:
What are some examples of gender stereotypes? Which ones did you learn growing up? Which ones felt most problematic to you? Which ones felt least problematic? Why?
What are the characteristics of a healthy relationship? What does that look like in practice?
What are some things that can make you stressed? What are some positive ways to deal with those feelings?
How can you speak up when you hear someone say something sexist? What are some helpful approaches you could take?
And many more!
What you can expect at the Meet Up event:
A place to unwind after work and grab some food.
A chance to hang out with some of the volunteers, members, and staff at Next Gen Men.
Time to dig into some important questions around masculinity, mental wellness, and healthy relationships in a casual & friendly atmosphere.
If you have questions about this event, please get in touch.
Hope to see you there!
Join NGM volunteers, members, and new friends as we dive into the discussion, one question at a time! Our focus is typically on how men and masculinity fit into the feminist movement, but folks of all genders & backgrounds are welcome to attend.
