It's time for another Deep Dive! 🌊
Deep Dives are member-led, one-hour discussions on wide-ranging topics — but always linked in some way to masculinities, gender equity, mental wellness, and/or healthy relationships. This time we're talking about self-work, and how we learn that we miiiight be overdoing it sometimes! 😅
Usually, people talk about self-improvement like it's eating your veggies — you can't overdo it! But is that really the case? How do you know that you might be either setting yourself up for burnout by trying to make too many changes at once, or pushing for changes too quickly? How can we continue to grow, while keeping our growth reasonable? What does that even look like?
The questions we'll dive into are:
1. What does it mean for us to be "working on ourselves"? What are the kinds of things we've done in the past to work on ourselves? What stuck? What didn't stick? How did the process of working on ourselves change us?
2. What are our motivations for working on ourselves? Are there some motivations that feel better than others?
3. How do we know when we are doing too much self-improvement work? What does that look/feel like?
4. What does balance in self-improvement work look like for you?
Bring your coffee and settle in for a great conversation. Or, if you've got a busy day, you're welcome to join from your phone while you're on the go!
Hope to see you there On Sunday February 12th at 10 am PT / 11 am MT / 1 pm ET! 🙌
