The Role

Reporting to the Community Lead, the Marketing Coordinator will drive awareness of and engagement with Next Gen Men’s programs and offerings through various digital marketing strategies while advancing gender equity and positive masculinities. 

Responsibilities

  • Execute various digital marketing strategies to bring NGM’s vision and mission to life.

  • Plan and execute product, event, and/or content marketing campaigns from start to finish, including writing compelling copy that converts on key goals and designing scroll-stopping graphics.

  • Compile, write, design, and ship our weekly newsletter, highlighting NGM’s expertise, events, and offerings to add value to existing subscribers. Convert product sales and grow our overall subscribership.

  • Write and proofread copy for various platforms and channels, such as social media and our blog, ensuring a consistent NGM voice.

  • Visually translate complex or abstract concepts into engaging and relevant graphics, animations and/or videos.

  • Monitor campaign performance continuously by analyzing key metrics and reporting on learnings to drive successful outcomes across channels.nels.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Social marketing: able to effectively pitch products and offers and the broader vision of NGM.

  • Copywriting: write to inspire action from multiple target audiences in a variety of formats, including social media posts, long-form content, blogs, website copy, and newsletters.

  • Social media: experience managing multiple social media accounts, emphasizing LinkedIn and Instagram and experience using social media scheduling tools, with a preference for Later would be beneficial.

  • Analytics: monitor and report on NGM’s social media channels, website analytics, and trends to identify opportunities or gaps.

  • Websites: familiarity with the fundamentals of CMS systems (we use Squarespace) as well as light HTML, and CSS, as well as comfortability in completing website optimization and updates on Squarespace and Shopify, is considered an asset.

  • Visual storytelling: able to create engaging, attractive, and creative graphics, animations and/or videos that effectively communicate nuanced concepts while encouraging users to take key actions. Preference for Canva or Adobe suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Animate.

  • Nice-to-Have’s:

    • Post-secondary education in Communications, Art/Design, Business or Marketing – or equivalent experience – is considered an asset.

    • Experience communicating social justice issues or working with nonprofits is considered an asset.

    • Familiarity with the pro-feminist men’s movement, gender equity, and patriarchy is considered an asset.

    • Experience in event marketing is considered an asset.
