Alex works as a controller & operations manager at Smart City Media, a video production company, and is the founder of a boutique accounting and bookkeeping firm specializing in small business solutions. He has a degree in accounting and business administration from Capilano University and has a diverse set of financial and operational experience having been in public practice and now within a small but growing start-up. He has traveled extensively, lived in Germany for a year to work and study, and has a passion for the outdoors and climbing (bouldering to be specific).

Andrew was born and raised in the Toronto area before heading off to earn a Bachelor of Journalism from Carleton University. From there he moved to work as a reporter in Edmonton and then a producer in Calgary, which includes a stint doing overnight shifts that started at 2:00 AM! He now handles digital communications for Apathy is Boring - a charity that works to include the often unheard voices of youth in Canadian politics. Andrew is particularly interested in engaging young men on voting who tend to vote less than women, and on the opposite spectrum, seeing more women in politics.

Andrew is a CPA, CA and has spent years specializing in international and domestic investment funds. He has degrees in the biological sciences, physical sciences and accounting from the University of Alberta. He has worked in various accounting and finance related roles as a controller and director of finance of small investment companies. In his spare time he enjoys cooking and hiking in the mountains.

She also works as a program manager within Banking and loves to dabble in private equity. She has worked with multiple international and diverse teams in creating Regulatory and Compliance programs globally for the Banking sector. She uses her passion for numbers and interest in small cap business models to create sustainable returns for all stakeholders. Her aim is to engage with and learn more about organizations that promote gender equity, which she believes is a key goal in ensuring kindness and fairness amongst all human beings.

Blair Fast is a customer experience leader who is super passionate about people (like super duper passionate). Blair is skilled at aligning teams towards customer-driven growth and could happily spend hours listening to feedback and co-creating with customers. She has a broad background in customer strategy, research, operations, experience design and product management. Blair currently focuses on creating meaningful experiences for families at Kinzoo, a kid-tech startup and private messenger where kids can connect with those who matter most. Blair loves dystopian novels, all dogs, and anything made from a potato!

Brittany works as the People Operations Coordinator at Plotly, a tech company in Montreal’s Mile End, while also pursuing her MSc in Management at Concordia’s John Molson School of Business. She conducts research on the experience of women on boards and the effects that work-family programs have on women’s careers and their ability to reach and remain in management positions. Brittany hopes to pursue a researcher-practitioner role in the future so that she can study topics related to her current work and enact policy to help women in their careers. Outside of work you can find her enjoying pasta, outdoor activities or a good novel!

Casey has 10+ year's experience in the non-profit sector, now working as Director of Newcomer Services/Gateway Project Manager at Immigrant Services Calgary. Previous to returning to her home city to work with newcomers, Casey worked in Sierra Leone and Guatemala on international development projects, primarily focused on education and gender equality. Her life mission is the empower those most vulnerable and she prides herself in being a change-maker.

I am a marketing professional with 20+ years experience working in both the profit and not for profit tourism sectors.

My current role is Membership Manager for HI Canada, a not for profit hostel accommodation provider.

I am passionate about encouraging young people to travel in order to get a better understanding of people, places and cultures. I love taking my family hostelling and experiencing the joy that travel can bring.

I am lucky enough to be a father to 3 amazing children. My hope in some small way, is that my volunteer work with NGM can help make the future a better place for them to grow up in.

Hi! I'm a new dad to a wonderful little girl named Riley. Our family recently relocated to Vancouver and we are so thrilled to be experiencing all kinds of new beginnings from our city, to my career and most importantly as a parent. I couldn't be prouder to work with NGM to help shape the conversations around masculinity and making the future happier and healthier for Riley and the rest of her generation.

Professional Fundraiser working in the Environmental sector, have been working at ecojustice for 5 years and currently working as Mid-level Giving officer. I am Chair of the communications committee for AFP (association of fundraising professionals) I speak English Spanish and French. My love for pop culture and my upbringing in a Latin household make me want to change the world for the better.

With a passion for social justice, Mandy Sherman currently works as a Communications Manager for Plan International Canada, a global development agency. There she leads a team of skilled, high-performing content creators, and models values of people-centred, compassion-forward leadership. She is also a founding and active member of a co-housing initiative, Clarens Commons, which facilitates public and private dialogues around housing advocacy, conflict-resolution, anti-individualism, community-building and relational values. Mandy has an M.A. in Social Anthropology from SOAS in London, UK, and also holds a B.A. Honours, Specialist, in English Literature. She has been a communications, fundraising, and community-building professional in the not-for-profit space for nearly 7 years.

Slavena is a supply chain management specialist with eight years of experience in the Canadian energy industry. She is passionate about promoting positive masculinities, healthy relationships, and gender equity in schools, communities, and workplaces across Canada. She holds a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation and an Honors Business Administration degree from Ivey Business School. Outside of work, Slavena enjoys Latin dancing and hiking.

My expertise is accounting, having received my CMA, CPA. Currently working at an oil and gas service company in downtown as a Senior Accountant and working towards an MBA designation.

Born and raised Calgarian! Enjoy going to the mountains, hiking, and camping. Have performed on salsa dance teams and enjoy social dancing.

She earned her CA designation from the United Kingdom and CPA from Alberta, and has work experiences within public practice and industry. Victoria has lived in four countries and is an avid traveller, having explored twelve countries to date. Her other happy places are when she is playing sports, reading books, or drinking coffee.
