NGM Thoughts 25: I Am
One of my favourite stories is the response of British Writer G.K. Chesterton’s to an invitation to write an essay on: “What’s wrong with the world?”
Dear Sirs,
I am.
Sincerely,
G.K. Chesterman
If we can all arrive to this place; where we move beyond the posturing, the bullshit, and the divisiveness of ‘those people’ screwing up the world with ‘those ideas,’ and get to a place where we all acknowledge that to some extent in some ways we are all what’s wrong with the world. We can begin real work—the work of fixing the little things that we do that are wrong.
Dale Carnegie wrote: “If I am the problem with the world, and you are too, then we can stop worrying about who is right and get on with the work of making our world better.”
How are you wrong and how will you do better?
